Scope of Experience
Dakota Cowell is a Senior Associate in the Providence Office of Boston Realty Advisors. A valuable member of the Providence team, he has worked extensively with real estate developers and investors in all areas of Rhode Island. More specifically, he has worked with developers who specialize in historic renovation and with investors who are growing multifamily and mixed-use portfolios in Rhode Island. Currently, Dakota is heavily involved with the historic renovation of Pontiac Mills in Warwick, RI. Pontiac Mills is an active construction project that is turning one of the original Fruit of the Loom textile mills into a mixed-use complex that will have 200+ apartments and offer over 40,000 sf of commercial space upon completion.
A native to Southeastern Massachusetts, Dakota opted to stay local for his education and chose to study at Salve Regina University. At Salve Regina, he played football all four years and graduated with BS in Biology. Shortly after graduating from Salve Regina University, Dakota was accepted into veterinarian school, but put that on hold to pursue his interest in real estate. His real estate career started at Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty in Newport, RI. He eventually left that brokerage to pursue his growing interest in commercial real estate. Since switching brokerages, Dakota has not looked back, and has gained a skillset that will prove to be very valuable to any commercial real estate developer or investor interested in Rhode Island or Southeastern Massachusetts.
